Ron Climer is the Director and chief clinician for the Counseling Resource Center. He has a BSW, and an MSW from California State University of Fresno. He is licensed as an LCSW by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences. He is also licensed with The American Board of Examiners as a Board Certified Diplomat in Clinical Social Work. He is a member of the National Academy of Social work and The American Association of Christian Counselors.
Ron brings a wide variety of experiences to the therapeutic setting. In addition to being professionally trained in psychotherapy Ron is also a licensed and ordained minister. Ron and his wife Carol are commissioned career Missionaries with the North American Mission Board. Ron also is a Field Consultant for CSBC.
Ron has served as a Field Chaplain for The Bureau of Narcotic Enforcement for the State Attorney Generals office. He has served on a National Gang Task Force. He has served on the Board of Directors for City, County, State, Private, and Non Profit agencies. Ron currently serves as the Head Chaplain for the Fresno County Probation Department Juvenile Division where he supervises over 300 volunteers and 7 Chaplains.
Ron is a member in good standing of a number of professional organizations. He is active in the community and is an ardent advocate for those in need. Ron has also received licenses and certification in a number of specialty fields, such as Critical Incident Response, Stress Management, Grief Therapy, Marriage Enrichment, Anger Management, Communications, Drug and Alcohol addiction, and Time management |
